I'm not a musician and I know very, very little about how music is made. I absolutely love watching people that KNOW music get so excited about other people playing music. As far as this song goes, it's one of my favorites from Tool. To me it's exhilarating and soothing at the same time.

I was lucky enough to see this live just before the world stopped (literally weeks), & I really think it’s Danny’s magnum opus. Maybe tied with Lateralus although I see that as all 4 equally. He’s just showing everyone that he’s the best living drummer in the world right now, & this just hits different in a way that is unique to DC. I’m glad they’re finally getting the recognition they deserve. 🎉

Can you replicate this? I doubt many can. As a drummer, I couldn't come close to this, but the thing I love is that he had flow. This might be my favorite drum performance ever. The shit was symphonic. This song, in particular, undoubtedly inspired children to learn music. And, yes, his off hand was insane.

Tools a band of musicians who I think are under appreciated except for the niche of fans they have. I can understand because their music is not pop but every one of these guys is a master at their craft.
